Restricted Access...

The restricted access route is usually taken by riders under the age of 21.

Once you have completed a CBT course and passed the theory test you can take the practical test on a machine between 120cc and 125cc capable of more than 62mph (100kmh).

The test is exactly the same as the practical test.

Once you have successfully completed it you will be eligible to ride a machine with a power output of no more than 33bhp (25kw) and a power/weight ratio not exceeding 0.16kw/kg for 2 years, after which you will be eligible to ride any size of machine.

Almost any machine can be restricted to 33bhp (25kw) and can be done by your local authorised dealer.
