Practical Test...
The practical test will have to be taken by anyone wishing to obtain a fully
motorcycle / scooter or moped licence and can be taken on either a manual or
automatic machine.
As with the CBT course, if you pass the practical test using an automatic
gearbox bike you will not be able to ride a manual machine. Once you have passed
a theory test you will have 2 years in order to take and pass the practical
test.
The test comprises of an eyesight check followed by an on-road examination
where the examiner will give instructions and directions whilst following on
another machine via a radio link and ask you to perform basic tasks such as
emergency stops.
Depending on the size or type of machine you take the practical
test on will dictate what you can ride thereafter.
As with the theory test, the practical test is carried out by DSA test
centres.
